Consumption and value, calculated automatically
Consumption is Beginning stock plus Purchases minus Ending stock - what was actually poured or sold during the period. Ending value is Ending stock times Unit cost, your inventory's dollar value on hand right now.
Both figures update the moment you enter your physical count, so there's no separate reconciliation step.
Rollups by category and by location
The summary below the table uses SUMIFS on both Category and Location, so you can total 'Spirits at the Front bar' separately from 'Spirits in Storage' instead of one flat grand total - the multi-location rollup Smartsheet's single-category files and getbackbar's flat list don't provide.
How to use it
- List every product on the Bar Inventory sheet with its category, location, beginning stock, purchases and ending stock.
- Consumption and ending value calculate automatically once you count and enter your ending stock and unit cost.
- Check the summary for value rollups by category and location, plus the grand total ending value.

Does this include a separate pour-cost or profitability calculator?
No. This template tracks stock, consumption and ending dollar value by category and location - it doesn't calculate cost-per-ounce or pour-cost profitability.
How is consumption calculated?
Beginning stock plus Purchases minus Ending stock, calculated automatically once you enter your physical count.
Can I total by both category and location at once?
Yes. The summary rollups use SUMIFS on both Category and Location columns, so you can total any category at any specific location.
Can I use it in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the file to Google Drive, open it, then File > Save as Google Sheets. The rollup formulas keep working.
What's the usage license?
Personal use or use within one business. It's not meant to be resold or redistributed as a template product.
