What's in the gift tracker
The Gift Tracker sheet holds up to 150 gifts. For each one, pick the occasion from a dropdown (Christmas, birthday, wedding, baby shower, anniversary, or other), then enter recipient, gift idea, budget, amount spent, and status.
Budget variance calculates automatically as budget minus amount spent, so you see at a glance which gifts ran over.
Below the table, the summary totals your overall budget and spending, counts gifts over budget and gifts still to buy, breaks down status (bought, wrapped, sent), and totals spending separately for Christmas, birthday, wedding and baby shower gifts.
Tracking status alongside budget
Status is a dropdown - to buy, bought, wrapped, or sent - so you can filter the list to see exactly what's left to purchase or wrap before a deadline, not just how much you've spent.
Because occasion and status are both tracked per row, the same workbook covers holiday shopping, birthdays throughout the year, and one-off events like weddings or baby showers without needing separate spreadsheets.
