What's in the bakery invoice template

The workbook has two tabs. Order Items holds up to 30 rows for cakes, pastries or catering items with quantity and unit price - line total calculates automatically for every row.

Invoice Summary pulls the order subtotal automatically, adds your delivery fee, then applies a deposit % to split the total order value into deposit due now and balance due at delivery.

Category is a dropdown (Cake, Pastries, Catering), so a single invoice can mix a custom cake order with add-on pastries or a small catering add-on for the same event.

Deposit-due-at-order math no competitor calculates

inv24.com offers an Excel/Google Sheets bakery invoice, but with generic line items and no deposit-or-balance handling - you'd track that split manually. InvoiceSimple, Invoicer.ai, MoonInvoice and Wave present bakery invoicing as a landing page for their own paid apps. Etsy sells a bundle of static templates for custom orders.

This template calculates the deposit-due-at-order and balance-due-at-delivery split automatically from your total and deposit %, which is exactly the custom-cake-order workflow most home bakers and small bakeries actually use.

Who this template is for

Home bakers and small bakeries who take custom cake or event orders and collect a deposit up front, with the remaining balance due at pickup or delivery.

It's an order/invoice tool for individual orders, not an ongoing expense or bookkeeping tracker for your whole bakery business.

How to use it

  1. List items with quantity and unit price on Order Items.
  2. Enter your delivery fee and deposit % on Invoice Summary.
  3. Collect the deposit due now, then the balance due amount at delivery.

Yes. Category is a dropdown with Cake, Pastries and Catering, and you can list up to 30 items on one Order Items sheet.
