What's in the venue checklist

The Venue Comparison sheet holds up to 15 venues. For each one, enter the number of guests, rental fee, catering cost per guest, bar cost per guest, and any additional fees.

Total cost and cost per guest calculate automatically - total cost adds the rental fee, guests times catering per guest, guests times bar per guest, and additional fees, so venues with very different per-guest pricing still compare fairly.

Score each venue 1-5 on capacity, budget fit and ambiance. The weighted score combines all three using editable weight columns (default 40% capacity, 30% budget, 30% ambiance) - change the weights if one factor matters more to you.

Comparing venues, not just checking off tasks

A general wedding checklist tracks the tasks around your whole wedding; this template is specifically a side-by-side venue comparison - the numbers and scores that help you pick between a handful of finalists.

The summary below the table shows the cheapest total cost, lowest cost per guest, highest weighted score, and average total cost across every venue you've entered - so you can see the trade-offs at a glance.

How is total cost calculated?

Total cost equals rental fee, plus catering cost per guest times number of guests, plus bar cost per guest times number of guests, plus additional fees.

Can I change the weights for the weighted score?

Yes. Capacity, budget and ambiance weights are editable per venue and default to 40%/30%/30% - adjust them if ambiance or budget matters more to you.
